Our Village The story of West Kilbride was published by the Society in 1990. Much of the information collected for this book has been handed down from generation to generation. The purpose of the book was to preserve this material and present it in a form that will appeal primarily to young people of school age in the village, and also to their elders. Its real aim is to stimulate in young people an interest and pride in their village, and arouse on them a consern for its future. |

It tells the story of West Kilbride over the last 100 years and more. It reveals the changes that have taken place over those years in the buildings, the people, their dress and their social life.
